This piece is a unique collaboration between Lowell Hunter of Salty One & artist Bobbi Lockyer.
Lowell's Description
"Reinvigorate" symbolises resistance to oppression and disconnection from culture. It encourages people to stand up and say, ‘I am here – present, proud and strong’. This artwork acknowledges our ancestors and elders who are watching with pride as we create a new way of doing things, embracing our culture and teaching our children.
This piece was created on Wadawurrung Country at Bancoora Beach in Victoria.
About Bobbi Lockyer
Bobbi Lockyer is a colour-obsessed, queer feminist pink-haired mermaid queen, spearheading change in social spaces through art. An Aboriginal artist in love with rainbows and colour who couldn’t think of anything worse than grey walls and fitting
inside the box.
She has been described as a young creative with a unique style that turns heads. Born and based on Kariyarra Country in Port Hedland, her work blends her love for her community and dream for a better world with her creative soul and her passion for her land and all the amazing colours and iconic Pilbara landscapes that inspire her daily.
She is a proud Ngarluma, Kariyarra, Nyulnyul and Yawuru woman, raising her four amazing boys by herself on the land that raised her. Bobbi feels a deep affinity for country and community and uses her art, fashion and photography as a platform to raise awareness of social justice issues, including Indigenous rights and women's rights. Bobbi believes that creativity and community go hand in hand and one would not exist without the other, so she loves being able to use her art as a force for good in the world.
Bobbi's Description
When you stand at look at the ocean you see the waves and the sand but there is a whole hidden world under the sea. My design is inspired by the beautiful corals and sea life hidden under the water that play such an important part in our eco system and in looking after our country. Looking after our Sea Country, including the reef, is important to Indigenous peoples as we interweave our culture with sustainable use of its resources.
My painting depicts a dreaming story of the coral reef forming and the uses it has
provided.
This painting took 25+hrs to paint and was painted Kariyarra country, Port Hedland,
WA.

All artwork is printed locally at a Fine Art Printing Studio in Geelong, Victoria. The artwork is printed using world-class materials on the finest substrates.
Salty One artwork is available on your choice of substrate: Cotton Rag or Canvas.
Fine Art Cotton Rag: Cotton rag is an archival quality printing medium. It is a type of paper that is made from cotton fibres rather than wood pulp and, as a result, is superior in both strength and durability. Our cotton rag prints also use archival quality ink, meaning that your finished artwork will have vivid colour and depth, never fading and lasting a lifetime! As it is a paper, cotton rag prints must be framed behind glass.
Canvas: Canvas is a sturdy material that can be framed with or without glass. The canvas we use for our artwork is a high quality cotton/polyester blend canvas with a smooth woven pattern. The archival life of our canvas prints is 120-150 years! Our canvas prints are available framed or unframed. If you selected a framed artwork, it will be expertly stretched and then framed without glass and is able to be shipped Australia wide.
Whilst there is a series of set sizes for Salty One artworks, most can adapted and printed in custom size requests to suit your space. Custom Canvases are available unframed or framed. Please enquire here for custom size requests.

All canvas products are available framed or unframed as they may be framed without glass & shipped safely.
Cotton Rage must be framed behind glass to ensure longevity, however we only provide cotton rag prints unframed. If you purchase a smaller print you may find a ready-made frame that will suit and choose to frame the print yourself. Please note, it is important to handle cotton rags prints as little as possible so do not remove it from its shipping packaging until it is ready to be framed, and only touch the print on the outer edges to prevent damage. If you have chosen a larger work, a professional framer is your best option and again, please remember to deliver it to your framer without removing it from its packaging to prevent damage.
